In just three simple steps, you can remove your old tub stopper and install a shiny new tub drain and stopper within five minutes. Just take a peek at these quick and informative videos which show you step by step on how to remove the most common types of bathtub stoppers. We show you the easiest way to install a sparkling new tub drain and matching overflow plate to completely update the look of your tub in minutes.

Three Steps to a Shiny New Tub Drain

Follow these three simple steps to a shiny new tub drain. Watco’s SimpliQuick™ Tub Fix makes it easier than ever before to quickly and easily install a beautiful new tub drain.

1) The first thing to do is to remove your existing tub stopper. It’s easy to remove your bathtub stopper with only a flathead screwdriver and maybe a pair of pliers.

For tub stoppers that pull up and turn, you’ll first want to have the stopper closed and hold the base in place while you turn the top counter-clockwise to remove it. If it won’t budge, try using a pair of pliers around a clean rag to turn the stopper which should come right out once it’s unscrewed. If the stopper will not come out there may be a set screw in the assembly which you can loosen only, do not remove it, then it should be easy to remove the stem of the stopper with a flathead screwdriver. Watch our step by step instructional videos and feel free to contact FixMyDrain.com with any questions.

2) Choose your installation method. The SimpliQuick™ Tub Fix solution comes with two options for install. You can easily screw in the drain assembly with 3/8-in or 5/16-in reversable post or if you have broken crossbars, we provide an easy solution with silicone adhesive. Simply apply the adhesive to the bottom of your new drain and place on top of your existing drain.

3) Install your new drain. With no need to remove your old, broken drain and no time-consuming prep-work, you can have a shiny new drain in under 5 minutes.
