When the pressure begins to build inside the tube casing, it will release approximately one teaspoon of water back into the water supply line when the pressure inside builds up to 250 to 300 pounds per square inch, PSI. The copper tube is rated at approximately 1800 PSI when tubing could burst.  An anti-siphoning device prevents from having any back pressure and contamination entering back into the main line.

An adjustable polycarbonate wall flange provides flush mounting which accommodates a slight downward pitch to release any water in a line when a hose is removed.  Features include a stainless steel seat to prevent bitting, a snug and secure fit with full circle operating threads, flexible EDPM rubber packing and a powder-coated, diecast aluminum, oval handle for extra strength. Plus, no lead solder is used and the head of the faucet is made entirely in brass.

The Model 19 offers the most common half-inch male pipe thread with half-inch female sweat, CP inlet, with additional inlet types available such as C, C3, P, PX, PX 3, W, and W3.  Woodford repair kits are available with video instruction for assistance in installing or repairing Woodford Frost Free hose bibs.
