How to Install a Watco Half Kit Bath Waste

Installing the Watco half kit bath waste is easier than you may think with step-by-step video instruction available from BuyEagle.com.  The Watco 901 Series Half Kit Bath Waste is a Schedule 40 bath waste which is great for installing where PVC piping already exists (PVC tubing is not included with this kit).  As you install PVC tubing to the Ell and Elbow sections of the 901 series, we show you first-hand how to cut, glue and install PVC pipe under your drain and in your overflow piping area.

If cutting the PVC pipe is required, measure and mark your pipe and cut the one and a half inch schedule 40 pipe to the desired length to fit behind your bathtub.  Allow for some extra piping to accommodate any misalignment issues if necessary. Follow the instructions for gluing your PVC pipe and then secure the drain elbow and drain flange gasket by threading the strainer body through the tub drain hole from the inside of the tub.

Tighten the drain which may require two sets of hands.  Next, install the overflow elbow by placing the foam gasket on the overflow elbow and insert into the overflow hole from behind the tub. Tighten the retainer over the overflow piping from inside the tub by hand tightening only.

Remove the red test membrane from the overflow pipe opening, then snap on the Watco Innovator Snap On overflow plate onto the black retainer ring.  Be sure that the opening is facing downward towards the bathtub drain.  Next install the bathtub stopper into the strainer body, tighten with a screwdriver and then screw in the top of the stopper.
